TechDebian won’t ban AI code from its Linux distribution

Debian has approved a policy allowing developers to use AI tools for the distribution’s development, maintenance, and documentation. It neither endorses nor prohibits generative AI, but holds contributors to the same quality, correctness, maintainability, and legal standards. Disclosing AI assistance is encouraged, not required.
