WorldRosatom welcomes IAEA recognition of severity of Zaporozhye NPP situation
Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev said the state corporation welcomed the IAEA’s recognition of the complexity of the situation at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant and its shared concerns. The plant has had no external power for 11 days since the Ferrosplavnaya line was cut on August 20, relying only on diesel generators. Likhachev said the facility remains fully under control, while Rosatom’s estimate of its autonomous operating period differs sharply from the IAEA’s.
