WorldDeath toll from northern Nepal flooding exceeds 900
Nepal’s National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority says 903 bodies have been recovered after last week’s flooding in northern Nepal. A total of 10,461 people have been rescued, while nearly 4,200 remain missing, including 592 foreign nationals. At least 933 hydropower workers may be trapped in tunnels as blocked roads hinder rescue efforts.
