WorldGoogle Maps changes Lake Ontario to ‘Lake America’ in US

Google Maps now shows Lake Ontario as “Lake America” for users in the United States, following Donald Trump’s order to rename it and update the US Geographic Names Information System. Canadian users will still see “Lake Ontario,” although some Canadian government websites using Google data displayed the new name. Ontario Premier Doug Ford erected a sign insisting the lake remains Lake Ontario.
