PoliticsIceland rejects EU membership talks in referendum

Iceland has rejected the government’s proposal to open accession talks with the European Union, public broadcaster RUV reported. The No camp led with 52.5 percent against 47.5 percent for Yes, with only a small number of ballots still uncounted. The government had presented the vote as a “now or never” choice.
