ScienceWatch: China’s Fengyun satellites capture mudslide-hit areas
A rapid series of mudslides, triggered by the collapse of a high-altitude glacier on Nepal’s side, caused heavy casualties and left many people missing at a port on the China-Nepal border in southwest China’s Xizang Autonomous Region. Fengyun satellites recorded the affected areas between 09:00 and 14:00 Beijing time on August 29.
