Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth denied an NBC News report that he intends to seek the presidency in 2028, calling it “100% false.” NBC had earlier cited sources saying he discussed a campaign with his closest circle, while The Washington Post reported that Donald Trump wanted Vice President JD Vance to become the next Republican presidential candidate.
