World24-year-old woman allegedly planted bomb that killed Russian officer near St. Petersburg, then fled to Moldova
Fontanka reports that a 24-year-old Russian woman is suspected of planting a bomb in a Russian Aerospace Forces lieutenant colonel’s car on August 26. The vehicle exploded on Kolpino Highway the next morning, killing the officer and injuring his wife. By the time the FSB traced the suspect to Turkey, she had continued to Chisinau. Fontanka says Ukrainian military representatives had offered her a deal, though the claims have not been officially confirmed.
