TechCrypto users lost at least $5.69 million after wallet seeds proved too predictable
A weak random-number generator in CryptoJS was used by at least five crypto wallets, making some recovery phrases predictable enough to reconstruct. Coinspect traced at least $5.69 million in thefts since May across more than 2,000 seeds and several blockchains. Affected products include RRWallet, Bexo Wallet, NanChat, Bitcoin Libre and Milo.
