TechWorld’s first 35 kV direct-connected synchronous condenser enters service
The world’s first 35 kV high-voltage direct-connected synchronous condenser has begun regular operation at Shengshan Wind Farm in Heihe, Heilongjiang. Developed by Harbin Electric Machinery, the 50 Mvar unit provides grid support, improves renewable-energy fluctuation handling and helps raise the wind farm’s capacity from 100 MW to 200 MW.
