WorldPolitico, WSJ: CIA director visited Moscow to warn Kremlin against attacking NATO countries
CIA Director John Ratcliffe traveled to Moscow to warn Russian officials against attacking NATO members, especially Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, according to sources cited by The Wall Street Journal and Politico. A Politico source said the meeting focused on preventing escalation in the Baltic states, while Ratcliffe also demanded that Moscow stop its military and economic support for Iran. The Kremlin described the trip as security-service contacts, and Donald Trump called it “semi-routine.”
