A Russian Emergencies Ministry Il-76 made four sorties over Serbia in the past 24 hours, dropping 168 metric tons of water on wildfires in the Deliblato Sands, Vranje and Prokop areas. The ministry said high temperatures and strong winds were worsening the difficult situation; Russian aircraft have dropped more than 1,000 metric tons in recent days.
