Thailand’s Securities and Exchange Commission opened consultation on Aug. 24 over a crypto ETF framework initially allowing passive, single-asset Bitcoin or Ethereum funds. The products would trade only on the Stock Exchange of Thailand, with assets mainly held by Thai-regulated custodians, giving local managers and service providers an early structural advantage. Comments close Sept. 20, with rules expected later in 2026.
