PoliticsTrump comments for the first time on Ratcliffe’s ‘semi-routine’ Moscow visit
U.S. President Donald Trump said CIA Director John Ratcliffe’s August 25 trip to Moscow was for “very sort of semi-routine” business and that Washington wants the war in Ukraine to end. Trump rejected reports that Putin sought to test NATO’s resolve, while saying the visit could produce something. The Kremlin described it as intelligence-service contacts and said Ratcliffe did not meet Putin.
