TechTests of Russia’s Sakhalin heavy-class underwater robot held in St. Petersburg
Russia’s first domestically produced heavy-duty remotely operated underwater vehicle, Sakhalin, has undergone sea trials in St. Petersburg. The robot can work at depths of up to 3,000 meters, servicing subsea oil and gas facilities, pipelines and cable routes while carrying out searches, emergency work and complex tasks with manipulator arms.
