TechRussia to unveil Barrage-2 unmanned stratospheric platform in 2028
A prototype of Russia’s Barrage-2 unmanned stratospheric platform is scheduled to be unveiled in 2028, Advanced Research Foundation official Yan Chibisov said at the Technoprom 2026 forum in Novosibirsk. The airship-like craft will use pneumatic ballasting to adjust altitude and exploit winds, with possible payloads including 5G NTN communications equipment.
