TechRing says its new encryption limits what it can give police

Ring is introducing “Throw Away the Key Encryption” (TAKE), which limits when Amazon’s cloud can access footage while retaining features such as smart alerts and AI video search. Rolling out from September, TAKE will become the default for all Ring cameras. Ring says law enforcement will receive only non-video information and encrypted video files in response to requests.
