A 10-member team from the China Earthquake Administration has returned home after a 20-day scientific survey in Venezuela launched following the country’s magnitude-7.1 earthquake on June 25. The experts assessed damage in Caracas, Vargas and other areas and investigated surface ruptures, providing data for reconstruction and seismic risk assessment. China said it could offer further assistance depending on the disaster situation.
