TechTraders begin losing control of open positions as BitMEX starts staged shutdown
BitMEX will enter reduce-only mode at 04:00 UTC on Aug. 26, preventing traders from opening new positions while existing ones may be force-closed during the wind-down. The exchange plans to close all remaining positions and end trading on Sept. 23, then disable API withdrawals on Sept. 28.
