WorldYorkshireman becomes first known Briton killed fighting for Russia in Ukraine
Bradley Townsend, a 33-year-old British citizen from South Yorkshire, was killed by a remote-controlled drone near Lyman in Ukraine’s Donetsk region on June 10 while fighting for Russia, according to British media. He was reportedly the first British citizen killed while fighting on Russia’s side. The Foreign Office warned that fighting in Ukraine or assisting combatants could violate British law and lead to prosecution upon return.
