TechUber will let parents check on teens through drivers’ selfie cameras

Uber is expanding teen accounts so linked parents can watch a live feed from a participating driver’s front-facing camera during an active ride. The teen and driver are notified when a parent views the video, which ends automatically when the trip is over. Uber says the encrypted feed is not accessible afterward, and plans a nationwide rollout in the coming weeks.
