Police in Wuhan used a portable stab-resistant restraint blanket to subdue a 90-kilogram intoxicated man in three seconds. Developed and patented by Wuchang officer Du Xinkun, the 1.5-kilogram blanket is designed to reduce injuries during arrests; 80 sets have been deployed and used in nearly 100 operations.
