Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei says Tehran has received no official proposal from the participants in the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement, signed by Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan. Parliament news agency chief Mehdi Rahimi had earlier said Iran was invited and was considering joining.
