Culture816 Project, the world's largest man-made cave, becomes a cultural and tourism landmark
The 816 Project scenic area in Chongqing's Fuling District is drawing domestic and international visitors as the “503 Geocentric Roaming Loop” gains popularity. Built from 1966, the underground complex has 18 major caverns and more than 130 tunnels, branch caves and shafts. LED projections and laser mapping now add visual effects while preserving its original appearance.
