TechPatreon is changing its algorithm to help smaller creators get discovered

Patreon has announced a broad roadmap of creator and fan features, led by a discovery algorithm overhaul. Instead of mainly recommending creators whom fans already follow, it will compare posts by topic, style, craft, and themes to improve exposure for smaller creators. Planned tools also include short-form video features, topic-based communities, stronger sign-in verification, and anti-scraping protections; some updates may not fully launch.
