WorldEurope and Canada condemn Israeli plans for new West Bank settlement

The UK, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Canada and Norway called Israel’s tenders for more than 1,200 housing units under the E1 project “unacceptable” and warned of legal and reputational consequences. Egypt, Malaysia and the UN also condemned the plan, which is slated to include at least 3,400 units and could bisect the occupied West Bank.
