Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi urged South Korea to maintain a friendly policy toward China and use next year’s 35th anniversary of diplomatic ties to advance their strategic cooperative partnership. Meeting President Lee Jae Myung in Seoul, Wang also called for faster progress on the second phase of free trade agreement talks, while Lee backed stronger cooperation in economic, trade and security matters.
