TechDJI Osmo fans are breaking free from its closed-source camera app

Osmosis is a free open-source alternative to DJI’s Mimo app. By reverse engineering the cameras’ communication protocol, it can download footage, show thumbnails, stream low-resolution previews, trim clips, mark favorites, filter media, and queue downloads. The app remains rough, with slow connections and some gimbal-handling limitations.
