ScienceScientists develop water-purifying sorbent from Arctic mosses
Scientists at Petrozavodsk State University have developed a patented filter material from sphagnum mosses in Russia’s Arctic Zone. The sorbent can remove heavy metals, phenolic compounds and petroleum products, and may be used to further treat urban and industrial wastewater before discharge.
