SportsPSG move league opener to Rennes after heatwave damages pitch

Paris Saint-Germain’s opening match in defence of its French league title against Rennes has been moved to Rennes after a summer heatwave badly damaged the Parc des Princes pitch. PSG said the surface was no longer suitable for player safety and well-being, and that a replacement pitch should be ready for its September 4 home game against Monaco.
