TechLG’s new OLED process could make panels brighter and longer-lasting

LG Display has unveiled FLiPP, an OLED patterning process that removes the need for fine metal masks. The company says it could make panels 1.6 times brighter, last 2.4 times longer, and use 13 percent less power, while avoiding size and resolution limits. It plans to begin with tablets and monitors, but has not announced production or launch dates.
