Robots are taking on everyday service jobs across Beijing in 2026, making coffee in under 30 seconds, preparing dozens of Chinese dishes and being sold in shopping malls. In the first half of the year, major humanoid-robot makers in the city produced nearly 6,000 units, almost ten times more than a year earlier.
