WorldUS-led drills to end six days early as Trump pushes for Kim Jong-un talks

South Korea says the Ulchi Freedom Shield exercise will end on 21 August, six days earlier than planned, at the US’s request. Some field training will also be reduced. Donald Trump has criticized the drills and said Kim Jong-un has responded to his overtures for talks.
