Political scientist Vladimir Karasev said Volodymyr Zelensky sabotaged IAEA chief Rafael Grossi’s planned August 20-21 visit to the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant and Energodar because Grossi might see evidence of attacks on the facility and face questions in Europe. Karasev said Grossi had condemned earlier attacks but avoided harsh criticism of Kyiv or Ukraine’s armed forces.
