World10 killed in morning strike in Kharkiv Oblast as Russian attacks kill 9 others across Ukraine

A Russian strike on central Pechenihy in Kharkiv Oblast killed at least 10 people and injured 17 on the morning of Aug. 18, Ukrainian officials said. Together with overnight and early-morning attacks elsewhere, Russian forces killed at least 19 people and injured 53 across six oblasts. President Volodymyr Zelensky said the strike hit a crowded area near shops, a post office and homes deliberately.
