Doctors in Trincomalee, Sri Lanka, removed a 3.1kg bladder stone from a 55-year-old man during surgery. Measuring about 17cm, the stone is believed by the medical team to be the largest bladder stone documented and surgically removed. The patient is continuing treatment for other conditions.
