The US Supreme Court has again refused Donald Trump’s request to challenge the $5m verdict in E Jean Carroll’s 2023 civil case. The ruling found him liable for sexually abusing and defaming Carroll over allegations dating to 1996, and her attorney said the jury’s verdict is now final. Trump is separately appealing an $83.3m judgment from another defamation case.
