SocietyGermany news: Belgium blaze kept out of Germany for now

A wildfire in Belgium’s High Fens nature reserve came within about 300 meters of Germany, prompting the evacuation of around 30 people from 17 homes in Monschau. The fire stopped advancing toward Germany by Monday morning, while low river levels are reducing cargo capacity and threatening construction-material supplies with higher costs and delays.
