EconomyRussia’s current account surplus rises to $21 bln in Q2 2026 — Central Bank

Russia’s current account surplus climbed to $21 billion in the second quarter of 2026, up from $2 billion a year earlier and $13 billion in the first quarter, Central Bank documents show. The increase was driven mainly by higher goods exports, lifting the foreign trade surplus to $38 billion. Service-export growth reflected transport services for non-residents and spending by foreign visitors.
