TechRobots take on new roles in Beijing restaurants and nursing homes

Beijing’s robotics industry generated more than 45 billion yuan in 2025, with over 20,000 intelligent-robot companies and nearly 30 humanoid-robot makers. Robots are cooking, mixing drinks and entertaining diners, while nursing homes use them for meals, care and rehabilitation. Staff must still supervise feeding because robots may not react properly if someone chokes.
