China-Peru joint-venture Chancay Port handled 200,000 TEUs in the first half of 2026, up 70.94% year on year, COSCO SHIPPING said. Bulk and general cargo rose 41.2% to 987,000 metric tons, while roll-on/roll-off cargo jumped 340% to 44,000 metric tons. The port operates routes linking Asia and the Americas, with direct Chancay-Shanghai service reducing transit time to 23 days and logistics costs by over 20%.
