WorldRussia’s FSB moves to eliminate border zone with annexed Ukraine despite lacking control of claimed regions

Russia’s Federal Security Service is reportedly dismantling border zones in the Rostov and Voronezh regions and annexed Crimea that separated Russia from Russian-occupied Ukrainian territory. The FSB says the move reflects Russia’s completed annexation of Donetsk, Luhansk, and Kherson, although Russian forces still do not fully control any of the four regions annexed in 2022.
