Tech2K launches Small Axe studio to build its ‘next blockbuster sports franchise’

2K has launched AAA developer Small Axe Studios to create what it calls its “next blockbuster sports franchise.” The studio has not named the sport, but a soccer-style badge and staff with EA FIFA experience suggest it may be developing a football game aimed at competing with EA Sports FC. Small Axe grew out of 2K Sports Lab.
