EconomySales of new hybrid cars in Russia more than double in July, reaching 14,000 units
Gazprombank Autoleasing told TASS that new hybrid-car sales in Russia rose 112% year on year in July to 14,100 units, up 48% from June. Plug-in electric vehicles reached an 11.7% market share. The Geely EX5 hybrid crossover led sales with 2,600 units. An expert said fuel problems boosted demand, but the segment’s rapid growth may be ending.
