TechSamsung’s $1,900 Z Fold 8 is still vulnerable to pocket lint

iFixit provisionally rates the Galaxy Z Fold 8 at 4 out of 10 for repairability. Its IP48 rating does not block particles smaller than 1 millimeter, allowing dust and sand into the difficult-to-replace hinge; testing produced grinding noises and prevented normal opening. The hinge and inner display may need replacement as one assembly.
