TechPSS pistol is most unique domestically produced silent firearm — Kalashnikov
The PSS-1 compact silent pistol is one of the most unusual domestically developed silent weapons because of its distinctive SP-4 cartridge, a Kalashnikov Group official says. The cartridge traps propellant gases inside the spent case, allowing the compact pistol to fire silently. The weapon was developed at TsNIITochMash and adopted by Soviet special forces in 1984.
