WorldLife and loss as a first responder in southern Lebanon

A new Al Jazeera film profiles Ali Safiuddin, head of Civil Defence in Tyre. He lost his daughter in an Israeli strike during the 2006 war and later rescued a girl from the Beirut explosion rubble. Despite a ceasefire, bombing and shelling continue along the “Yellow Line”, putting first responders at risk.
