TechChina launches first large-scale project to reuse retired wind turbines

China has launched its first large-scale project to recycle and reuse retired wind turbines in Jiuquan, Gansu Province. Engineers are refurbishing 25 turbines that operated for more than 15 years, raising the material reuse rate from 30% to 70%; the upgraded equipment can serve small local power stations and industrial users.
