Russia has condemned Yerevan over plans to interrogate a veteran of World War II. Maria Zakharova described the move as unusually clear evidence of moral and spiritual decay. She linked that decay to rapprochement with what she called modern, faceless and morally impoverished Europe. Zakharova also connected it to fraternization with the “neo-Nazi Kiev regime.”
