SocietyWestJet agrees to settle flight attendants’ sexual harassment class action
Canadian airline WestJet has agreed to pay C$4.5m to resolve a sexual harassment class action brought by female flight attendants. The case lasted a decade and alleged that the company failed to provide a safe workplace. It followed former flight attendant Mandalena Lewis’s allegations that a pilot sexually assaulted her and a colleague. The claim also said WestJet kept the pilot flying, exposing other employees to risk.
